Wheels
The Mondials from the Mondial 8 through the early Mondial 3.2 were fitted with metric sized Michelin TRX. While liked by some owners, many choose to go to a more standard size wheel and tire. There are two primary ways to do this, either wheels from a 348 or later Ferrari or an aftermarket fitment.
With the Mondial and all subsequent Ferraris, Maranello began using a much larger wheel 'offset' - the distance from the wheel mounting surface to the wheel centerline. In the Mondial, this is about 55 mm. This allowed a change to the steering geometry for a smaller 'scrub radius', giving easier turning and more importantly, a requirement for safe anti-lock braking systems (ABS). ALL MONDIAL WHEELS CROSS FIT EACH OTHER, allowing the substitution of the later 16" Mondial 3.2 or Mondial t wheels without modification if desired
348 wheels
One of the most popular and easy fitments with reported noticible improvements in handling are the Ferrari 348 wheels. These wheels and the 348 lugnuts can be used without modification on any year Mondial.

These wheels can also be used, but typically require spacers on the rear to clear suspension components. Spacers as well as lugbolts are readily available from several sources
